Discipleship is an essential part of what we do at Brockport First Baptist. You will find many opportunities to learn and grow in your faith at our church. Here is our current offering of adult education opportunities:

Sermon Talkbacks

Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the Month
11:15am-12pm in the Sanctuary

Join us after the church service for a chance to go a bit deeper into the sermon topics from previous weeks. Led by Pastor Dan, our sermon talkbacks have a casual, conversational tone that is friendly to seekers and seasoned church members alike. Grab some coffee in the fellowship hall after church and then join us back in the sanctuary for a fantastic time of asking questions, having spirited discussions, and getting to know other folks at the church. Childcare from birth through elementary is provided. All ages are welcome to participate in the discussion.

Wednesdays, January 23 through March 13
7:00-8:30pm in the PARLOR

Small group format meeting every Wednesday night. This will be an eight week study of the book Standing in the Fire, by Tom Doyle. It’s a fantastic book about the experiences of present-day Christians in the Middle East. It will challenge you, shock you, inspire you, and drive you to a deeper understanding of your own faith and what it looks like to live counter-culturally as a Christian in a hostile world. Participants will need to purchase the book.

Pastor’s Bible Study: The Book of Isaiah

Tuesdays, beginning January 29
Noon-1pm in the Parlor

This will be a long-term, inductive Bible study of the book of Isaiah. Join us as we take a deep dive into one of the Bible’s longest and most mysterious books. Jesus quoted from Isaiah more than any other book in the Hebrew Scriptures—we’ll get together every Tuesday to see what this ancient text has to teach us in the twenty-first century. Visitors are welcome! Bring a bagged lunch and a Bible.
