Discipleship is an essential part of what we do at Brockport First Baptist. You will find many opportunities to learn and grow in your faith at our church. Here is our current offering of adult education opportunities:
Every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the Month
11:15am-12pm in the Sanctuary
Join us after the church service for a chance to go a bit deeper into the sermon topics from previous weeks. Led by Pastor Dan, our sermon talkbacks have a casual, conversational tone that is friendly to seekers and seasoned church members alike. Grab some coffee in the fellowship hall after church and then join us back in the sanctuary for a fantastic time of asking questions, having spirited discussions, and getting to know other folks at the church. Childcare from birth through elementary is provided. All ages are welcome to participate in the discussion.
Fall Bible Study: New Creation in the Gospel of John
Wednesdays, October 10 through December 12
7:00-8:30pm in the Fellowship Hall
Small group format meeting every Wednesday night. This eight week study will take us through key points in John’s Gospel, teasing out the parallels between John and the book of Genesis, with an emphasis on New Creation. Meets in the fellowship hall, then breaks into small groups for discussion and prayer. We’ll be skipping the Wednesdays closest to Halloween (Oct 31) and Thanksgiving (Nov 21). Childcare will not be provided. Visitors are welcome. Bring your own Bible. Contact us for more information.
New classes and additional adult education opportunities will be launching in the New Year (2019). Check back then to see what we’re learning together!
